Communication

In-person visits are available by appointment. I follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 precautions, am fully vaccinated, get updated shots when recommended.

Telehealth is offered on an as-needed basis, by appointment, via the secure platform at portal.therapyappointment.com. Back-up options: doxy.me/msandrews or a phone call. Check out more information here on privacy while using telehealth.

Between appointments, if you need to reschedule or communicate something, either call me at 314-933-6587 or send a secure message through the Secure client portal. The portal is also the place to check your upcoming & past visits, check and pay your bill, access your online documents, update your information when needed, and more.
I do not use texting or email with clients. I do not accept connection requests from current or former clients on any social media. This is all to help protect your privacy and the therapeutic process. I maintain this professional website but I neither authorize nor monitor any other listing services of providers or businesses

Inclement Weather Policy

On some occasions I may need to close the office due to dangerous weather conditions such as tornado, ice storm, or the threat of extreme weather. If your appointment falls during one of these times, I will call you to let you know that the in-person appointment is canceled, and we can discuss alternatives. Alternative options include switching to a telehealth appointment or rescheduling for a different day.

Legal & Ethical

As a licensed mental health provider, I adhere to the highest levels of ethical conduct and service including but not limited to the National Association of Social Workers' Code of Ethics. I follow the WPATH Standards of Care in working with those identifying as trans* or non-binary.

All therapy-related record-keeping and communication follow the most up-to-date requirements set by HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, as well as the Health Information Technology for Economic Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act). With some important exceptions, I will not disclose any information without your written consent. I am a legally mandated reporter, required to report suspected child or elder abuse. If you are in imminent risk of harming yourself or someone else, I may have to breach confidentiality in order to keep you or others safe.

The choice of a therapist is customized and personal, and you are free to choose and change your provider when you feel the need to. Coming to one appointment does not obligate you to continue if you find the therapist is not quite the best fit for you at that time.
